Summary:

Full-Time | Primary Care + Functional Vision | Training Provided Support & Mentorship from Our Victoria HQ

Looking for a role where your exams do more? At Opto-mization, we’ve built a different kind of practice—where functional vision care is part of every primary eye exam. Our patients often come in with symptoms like headaches, screen fatigue, dizziness, or reading struggles. Many don’t need vision therapy—just a more customized, thoughtful prescription that helps them feel and function better. You don’t need previous experience in functional vision and vision therapy—we’ll train you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver full-scope primary eye care, with integrated functional vision assessments
  • Learn to recognize visual performance issues like binocular vision dysfunction or eye tracking problems
  • Prescribe advanced lenses (including prism) to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate regularly with our clinical team and tap into mentorship from our Victoria location
  • Train in vision therapy — we’ll guide you every step of the way

What We’re Offering:

  • Competitive compensation
  • In-depth training and mentorship in functional prescribing
  • Supportive, passionate clinical team
  • Future partnership opportunities for the right fit
  • A full-time role in beautiful Nanaimo, BC

We Might Be a Fit If:

  • You’re licensed (or eligible) to practice in BC
  • You care deeply about your patients’ wellbeing and want to go beyond standard care
  • You’re curious, collaborative, and driven to learn
  • You enjoy meaningful conversations and making real connections

Why This Role Matters: Our approach helps children learn better, adults reduce headaches, and seniors regain balance and confidence. It’s work that changes lives—and challenges you to keep growing. If you’re looking for more purpose in your work and a team that values curiosity and connection, we’d love to hear from you.
