Summary:
Fusion Eyecare is a member of the Eye Recommend network of independent optometry practices. Our growing practice of 5 ODs and 21 dedicated and loyal team members are looking for a full-time or part-time optometrist to work in our busy Terrace and Kitimat clinics. New grads are encouraged to apply.
Both clinics are full-scope and offer full pretesting and supplemental testing, including ultra-wide field imaging (Optos and Clarus), OCT (Cirrus) and field analyzers (HFA). We have an in-house edging lab (in Terrace), and offer full dispensing and contact lens services supported by our engaged and well-trained team. We have an excellent working relationship with our local ophthalmologists.
Our compensation package is premium and includes extended medical benefits and a guaranteed minimum income for full-time associates. We offer plenty of flexibility with scheduling and keep our associates as busy as they want to be. A signing bonus of $10,000 is offered to qualified applicants. Our associate optometrists earn $180,000-$220,000/year, working 4.5 or less days per week on average, and with taking ample time off. We also offer a relocation and moving expense compensation package for the successful candidate.
The Terrace/Kitimat area affords all the outdoor activities one can imagine. The area is renowned for its world-class fishing, and our local ski hill, Shames Mountain, is highly acclaimed for its phenomenal powder. The Kitlope is a region of wild and pristine natural beauty, and the Pacific Ocean is just a short drive away. With so many outdoor opportunities available with minimal crowds, this area is truly the hidden gem of B.C., often referred to as “The Squamish of the North”.
