Summary:

Boardwalk Optometry requires a full-time optician for their South Surrey clinic. Hours and schedule may vary.

We are a family-oriented optometry clinic that has worked alongside opticians to provide exceptional eye care in Surrey for the past 30 years. Licensed opticians have full access to the lab for edging lenses and assembling spectacles in house. Our optical is well stocked with frames for all ranges of patients. Licensed opticians can fit and dispense contact lenses. Opticians play an essential role in the overall ocular health of patients. We have a great team who are comprised of highly skilled licensed opticians who are qualified to fit spectacles and contact lenses, as well as seasoned optometric technicians and full optometric support. We strive to give our patients the best experience and provide them with the highest standard of care.

We are looking for an adaptable, hard-working, and compassionate optician who wants to practice at the highest level in a fun, fast-paced, family-oriented practice. The applicant will be working 5 days a week with hourly compensation. The applicant must be in good standing with the College of Opticians of BC. Licensed opticians sell eyeglasses and contacts according to written optical prescriptions following the College of Opticians of BC Regulations. Optician applicants must be able to recommend appropriate lens materials and designs based on patient needs and preferences. Candidates must advise patients on proper frame design, fit and performance. Applicants must be registered as a Licensed Optician/Contact lens fitter with the College of Opticians of BC.

Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, managers and doctors is essential.
