At Mobile Eyes Optometry, our mission is to provide quality eye care to individuals who are not able to get into a traditional office setting. With our portable equipment, we are able to provide comprehensive eye exams and glasses to those who are in wheelchairs, bed-ridden or have other mobility challenges due to disease. We currently service over 60 different long term care homes throughout the Greater Vancouver area. Work Environment Mobile Eyes Optometry is made up of a small team of professionals. Eye clinics are scheduled at different long term care homes around Greater Vancouver and some eye exams are done in hospitals or private residences. We provide on-the-job training and you will be supported by an optometric assistant on your clinic days.

Mobile Eyes Optometry is seeking an optometrist to work One day a week.

As one of our optometrists, you will be responsible for the following:

• Drive to and transport equipment to scheduled eye clinics around Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, New Westminster, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, and parts of Coquitlam.
• Provide comprehensive eye exams at different long term care homes along with an optometric assistant.
• Contact patient family members/power of attorneys with exam results as needed.

We’d love to hear from you if: We are looking for an individual who has an interest in working with our team of professionals to provide the best eye care to patients who would normally not be able to access it otherwise. This individual needs to be adaptable to different environments and situations. Although our patients can be of any age, the majority of our patients are seniors residing in long term care homes. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has a heart to help this underserved population.
