Summary:

Eyes on the Harbour Optometry is seeking a friendly, professional, and motivated Optometric Assistant or Optician (licensed or not) to join our growing independent practice in the Comox Valley. We love to work with those who are new to the industry and seeking training or those with more experience and training - both are valued!!!
Our clinic is entering an exciting new chapter. We have recently completed extensive renovations (we will update our google page soon), invested in new technology and equipment, expanded our services, and are building a strong team focused on exceptional patient care and an outstanding workplace culture.

About the Position
The successful candidate will help create a welcoming and efficient experience for every patient. Depending on training and experience, responsibilities might include:

• Greeting patients and assisting with reception duties
• Scheduling appointments and answering telephone inquiries
• Performing preliminary testing and diagnostic imaging
• Assisting doctors with patient flow and clinical procedures
• Helping patients select frames and lenses
• Taking measurements and completing eyewear orders
• Adjusting, fitting, and repairing eyewear
• Processing payments, insurance claims, and related documentation
• Maintaining organized, clean, and professional clinical and optical areas
• Supporting the team with daily clinic operations
• Contact lens fittings and care
• Dry eye laser treatment and aesthetics
• Working side by side our Doctors
