Summary:
Do you love the mountains? Looking for some time away from the city? Rocky Mountain Optometry is looking for a locum to join our busy practice in beautiful Fernie, BC.
We are ideally looking for someone for a minimum 6-month term (6–12 months preferred), with the opportunity to stay on as an associate afterward. Start date is flexible anytime after August 2026. This is a great chance to experience both summer and winter in the mountains while working in a supportive, well-established clinic.
Rocky Mountain Optometry is a privately owned, multi-location practice with our main hub in Fernie, BC and a full-time clinic in Blairmore, AB (45 minutes away). This position requires BC registration only.
What We Offer
- Monday–Friday schedule (8:30 AM–5:30 PM)
- One late evening on Wednesdays until 8 PM, shared among doctors (1 late night/month)
- No weekends
- Full pre-testing and support from our CCOA-trained staff
- Flexible scheduling with a collaborative team of 4 ODs

- Daily minimum ($1000+) plus competitive percentage compensation (reduced stress, no KPI’s)
